The Parish Council owns or leases 12 open spaces covering approximately 60 acres, including 6½ acres of Merton Fields "Millennium Green" an initiate of the Countryside Agency and was part lottery funded. Play equipment is provided on 8 of these sites and football pitches on three of these sites with pavilions on two.
Each site is provided with dog bins and most have public seating and litter bins, all areas are inspected and cleared of litter five days per week. Two of the sites incorporate conservation/wildflower areas.
The Parish Council is committed to providing sport and recreation for both the young and old of the community. It’s current project is the installation of a Skate Park in partnership with Swindon Borough Council at its Oasis site.
Football pitches are available for hire for both Junior and Senior games. Further details are available by contacting the Parish Council Office.
The playing of Golf is not permitted on any of the recreation or open spaces provided by the Parish Council.
