The Parish Council is a consultee of the Planning Authority, Swindon Borough Council. The Planning Authority notifies the Parish Council of planning applications in its area. The Parish Council then has 21 days to respond with its comments, these may be objections or support.
The Parish Council publishes a weekly list of plans on its noticeboards
The Parish Council meets monthly to discuss plans received from the Planning Authority. At this meeting there is a Public Recess whereby a resident may ask questions or voice concerns on planning applications that are to be discussed.
The Planning Authority will also notify the Parish Council of its decision to either Grant or Refuse an application.
